Meet the Pastors of Word Drop

Peter O'Connell

Founding Pastor of  Word Drop

In ministry to the Lord since 1998. Supported in ministry by his wife Crystal
and their 4 children.

Peter received salvation at a very young age in Calvary Church - Englewood, Colorado (1981). At only 5 years old he was hungry to know God. Constantly asking questions and feeling the need to know the truth.

Growing up with a single mom and no father was a challenge for him. Peter struggled with identity issues that impacted the trajectory of his relationship with God. Peter could not understand who he was and how a holy perfectly pure God can love him so much.

Through many trials, regrets and brokenness, in December of 1990 God brought him to a place to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit at age 14 in an Assemblies of God church when him and his mom moved to Chicago, IL. Growing up Baptist, Peter never heard of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. After this encounter with God, Peter has been receiving so much revelation in his identity with Christ and in His Word.

Peter continued his walk with God at Maranatha Chapel in Evergreen Park, IL. He was called into full-time ministry in 1998 where he served as a Missionary Associate in El Salvador, Central America. He studied remotely from home at Berean University. Became an Interim Youth Pastor at the church he grew up in, Maranatha Chapel, in 1999.

Over the next 20 years Peter realized there was a big lack of Bible study in many of the churches he visited. Yes there are connect groups with lessons inspired by the Bible, but no raw teaching of God's Word. As a result he sees a lot of Christians, including himself, feel spiritually captive and defeated.

Peter started researching the Bible more on his own and finding various commentaries on all views in the quest to find the truth. With the help of the Holy Spirit Peter believes he has a solid understanding of the gospel and it's power to change lives. Many things he had to relearn, because there was error in the way he was taught. As a result he was set free from many addictions from the past and his marriage was restored.

In January  of 2021 he started a Bible study in his home and called it Word Drop. It's simply a raw study of God's Word. In 2022 Word Drop became a non-profit organization and opened up a Bible study app. Peter hopes to reach defeated believers and deliver them with God's Word, so they can experience a walk with God in victory!

Paul LeBoutillier

Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel and a "voice" on WordDrop

Paul and Sue LeBoutillier (pronounced: lah-boo-tee-A) were born and raised in Minnesota where they met and fell in love during high school. They were married in 1978 and have four grown children and 6 grandchildren. After going through a painful season in their early married years, they surrendered their lives to the Lord and soon after experienced a powerful work of God's healing and restoration.

Paul and Sue started Calvary Chapel Ontario back in December of 1990 with just a handful of people. By God's grace the church has grown and so has their ministry. They are both passionate about teaching God's Word and loving God's people. You can send a message to Pastor Paul and Sue by clicking the button below.
